Principal's Corner

Welcome to Daegu Middle High School!

At Daegu Middle High School, we are proud to be a collaborative 21st-century learning community where educators, students, and families work together to support academic success and nurture the whole child.

As Principal, I am honored to lead a dedicated team committed to creating a learning environment where students are empowered to take charge of their education. We believe in the strength of collaboration and value the partnerships we build with staff, parents, community members, and military support organizations.

Our school takes pride in its close-knit community. With our small student population, we are able to offer personalized instruction and meaningful connections that support each student’s growth. Over the past 3 years, it has been my mission to ensure every student continues to benefit from these unique opportunities, supported by our hardworking and passionate staff. At DMHS, student-centered learning is at the heart of everything we do.

We also recognize strong relationships are essential to achieving our educational goals. That’s why we actively promote engagement with our community stakeholders through partnerships such as the DMHS PTSO and the DMHS School Advisory Council (SAC). These organizations play a vital role in supporting both academic and extracurricular programs and in providing valuable feedback to school leadership.

At Daegu Middle High School, our doors are always open. Whether you have questions, concerns, or simply want to get involved, we welcome you and look forward to working together to support our students’ success.

Warm regards,
Willard Earl Clites IV

What began as an ordinary round of golf quickly turned unforgettable for 12-year-old Taelyn Fortune. Standing on the tee box, nerves blending with focus, the seventh grader lined up his shot, visualized the ball’s path and committed to the swing. The ball launched cleanly, arcing through the air before taking a single bounce and rolling straight into the cup—securing a memory that will last a lifetime. In that moment, Taelyn became the youngest person ever to record a hole-in-one at Evergreen Golf Course.
