Daegu Middle High School recently held its 5th Annual College and Career Exploration Day, welcoming students in grades 6–12 to engage with a wide range of professionals, college representatives, and AVID student presenters. The event provided a dynamic platform for students to explore future academic and career opportunities through interactive discussions and hands-on experiences.
Daegu Seventh Grader Makes Evergreen Golf History With Hole-in-One
What began as an ordinary round of golf quickly turned unforgettable for 12-year-old Taelyn Fortune. Standing on the tee box, nerves blending with focus, the seventh grader lined up his shot, visualized the ball’s path and committed to the swing. The ball launched cleanly, arcing through the air before taking a single bounce and rolling straight into the cup—securing a memory that will last a lifetime. In that moment, Taelyn became the youngest person ever to record a hole-in-one at Evergreen Golf Course.
Student journalists unite at Far East Journalism
More than 105 high school journalism students representing DoDEA-Pacific schools across Japan, Okinawa, Guam, and Korea gathered at Dragon Hill Lodge in Yongsan, Seoul for the annual Far East Journalism Conference Oct. 27–30, 2025.
