DoDEA high school students may participate in dual enrollment. Dual enrollment allows high school students to simultaneously earn both college and high school credit, which is used to satisfy DoDEA graduation requirements.Â
The dual enrollment course must satisfy DoDEA curriculum requirements to receive high school credit, and the grade awarded by the college is used for the purposes of GPA and class ranking.
Students may request to take more college/university courses in addition to approved dual enrollment courses. The college/university will likely require the high school principal’s approval prior to enrollment. Additional college courses are not listed on the DoDEA high school transcript; only approved dual enrollment courses are listed on the DoDEA transcript.
All expenses associated with dual enrollment are the responsibility of the student/sponsor; DoDEA does not fund dual enrollment courses.
